No, nobody gives away 400 stickers from the Qatar 2022 football album by WhatsApp

Kaspersky analysts have discovered a fraudulent campaign on WhatsApp that promises the new album of Panini Qatar 2022 football stickers with more than 400 free stickers.

The message link direct users to sweepstakes pages to sign up for sports betting sites with an affiliate system, but they actually make money for the scammers with every sign up.

The hook is “access and win the album with more than 400 cards” to capture the attention of the victims, thus, they agree to the supposed promotion with the promise of an immediate delivery.

Upon clicking, the user is redirected to a survey with basic questions about the publisher and the album, showing an alert of the number of products available for participants to act quickly.

Subsequently, the survey asks the user to share the false promotion message with their contacts in order to spread the scam among more people, but in the meantime, after sharing the link, the user is redirected to various sites that require personal data to sign you up for shady promotions or online gambling sites with affiliate schemes.
